In a small town in the middle of Sequoyah County, Oklahoma there is an extraordinary “all volunteer” animal rescue where families travel from across the country to adopt rescued pets from the Ahimsa Rescue Foundation.

Ahimsa Rescue Foundation is unique in the world of animal rescue. Ahimsa Rescue Foundation strives to find the most perfect, loving homes possible for the pets that come into rescue with us.
Ahimsa’s goal is to unite pets and people to form loving and lasting families. We take into consideration both the family’s lifestyle and the individual personalities of our animals.
Thank you to the Ahimsa Volunteer Team for providing love and care to the animals at Ahimsa Rescue Foundation. Thank you adopting families for making adoption your first option.
“The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog.” Senator George Vest, 1870
We love hearing from our adopters with tales and stories of them and their newest family members. Pictures and “Adoption Tales” may be submitted any time after a pet has been adopted. Follow up reports, stories and tales are also welcome.
Send your letters to Adoption Tales.
